The Sunday Fun Club provides a spiritual safe haven for young people to learn together, developing a passion for God and a compassion for people. They will be challenged to discover their part in the life of the church and local community.
The Sunday Fun Club - so called because as well as taking the role of the traditional Sunday School that many parents attended, it seeks to provide a place where children can learn about God, the church and the community in a fun way. Play and group activities such as colouring, making things, performing in plays etc form an important part of the development process. The fun club allows parents who wish to attend the morning service to do so in the knowledge that their children will be cared for in a caring and professional environment.
Sunday Fun Club takes place on Sunday except for the first Sunday in the month when we have a Family Service. It starts at 9:20am just before the Sunday Eucharist in church at 9:30. The fun club takes place in the barn except when the children are taking a specific role in a service. At around 10:15 the children are taken into church to experience the Eucharist and final hymns and prayers.
Our regular professional leader, Bridget Caudle, is joined by a rota of volunteers, so we can care for children from any age. You can discuss with Bridget the best way to introduce your child to the environment. They love it!
If you are in church with children, you may, if you wish, sit in the childrens' area, where there are books and toys. We have a toilet and baby changing facilities in church. You will be made most welcome.
The members of the fun club vary in age from very young to young adults who help out with the younger members.
